UT4 Playable Pre-Alpha For Download

Flak (Stacey Conley – UT Community Manager/Developer) announced that the Team has an Unreal Tournament Pre-Alpha Build for download.   This is very exciting news for all us UT Fans.  Keep in mind that this is a “PRE” Alpha where you’ll expect to see unfinished textures, weapon and character animations, effects, etc.

The Future of “Unreal Tournament” Begins Today!

Epic Games’ Stacey “Flak” Conley (Community Manager), David Spalinski (Lead Level Designer), and Steve Polge (Sr. Programmer/Project Lead) announced today on Twitch that there will indeed be another Unreal Tournament and the development begins TODAY!  The game title is “Unreal Tournament” and will not be a continuation of the story’s timeline.  Think of it as a complete reboot using UE4.

Unreal Tournament will be FREE to play and will be using the Windows, Mac and Linux platforms.

The Future Of Unreal Tournament Will Be Announced!

There is a lot of buzz stirring from the Unreal Tournament Community after some unexpected tweets from Epic Games Vice President Mark Rein and Vice President of Product Development Paul Meegan.  What we can decipher from the tweets, Unreal Tournament is set to make a comeback!  In what way or form is uncertain, but a big announcement on  developers Twitch channel on Thursday, May 8th at 2pm Eastern Time should shed some intense light on it.

In the meantime, our minds will be swirling with speculation.

Author’s Note:  What I’m personally hoping for is a total reboot!  Recapture the magic of UT99 and UT2004, but do it using the new UE4...
